WHAT’S IN THIS PANEL:

  • HLVd (Hop Latent Viroid): the silent dudding viroid that can cut yield by ~30% with no visible symptoms. The #1 pathogen to screen incoming clones for.
  • Pan-Pythium: root-rot fungal complex (P. aphanidermatum, P. catenulatum, P. dissotocum, P. myriotylum, P. ultimum) that travels in on the rootballs of incoming clones.
  • Pan-Fusarium: vascular wilt and root rot complex (F. oxysporum, F. solani, and 8+ others) that rides in on plant material and persists in your soil for years.
  • CCV (Cannabis Cryptic Virus): often asymptomatic on incoming material, but compounds damage when stacked with other infections.
  • LCV (Lettuce Chlorosis Virus): hitchhikes on incoming clones with mild or delayed symptoms that are easy to miss without a test.
  • TMV (Tobacco Mosaic Virus): transmissible by simple contact. One infected incoming plant can spread it through normal handling.
  • Russet Mites: microscopic and often invisible on incoming clones until they reproduce. Early intake screening prevents weeks of unseen damage.

HOW TO USE THE INTAKE PANEL TEST:

  1. Tag Your Plant: Each kit comes with a tag to help you keep track of every new arrival you screen.
  2. Collect a Sample: Use the enclosed envelope to store a single tissue sample of 1-3 leaves and a 1-2 inch piece of root material from the incoming plant. One sample covers all 7 markers.
  3. Send for Analysis: Return the sample to our lab using the guidelines provided in your kit. Results arrive via e-mail, typically within 1-5 business days.

Technical Details:

The Intake Panel uses RT-qPCR for HLVd (a viroid that requires reverse transcription) and qPCR for the remaining six markers, targeting conserved genomic regions for maximum accuracy across known variants.

Note: Samples must be free of trichomes — samples from flowering-stage plants will not be accepted.
